Smackz accesses Clover POS data only after explicit merchant authorization. Data accessed through Clover APIs may include merchant account information, menu and item data, customer profiles, and order details. This data is used solely to enable Smackz functionality, including digital storefront presentation, order synchronization, and related operational features.
Smackz does not access, store, or process sensitive payment credentials such as full credit card numbers, CVV data, or PIN information. All payment processing and financial transactions are handled entirely by Clover.
Authorized Clover data is securely transmitted and stored using industry-standard encryption practices. Smackz implements technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect merchant and customer data from unauthorized access, disclosure, or misuse.
Data is retained only for as long as necessary to provide Smackz services or as required by applicable laws and regulations.
Smackz does not sell, rent, or share Clover data with third parties for advertising or marketing purposes. Data is shared only with service providers strictly as necessary to operate Smackz functionality and only under appropriate confidentiality and data protection agreements.
Smackz uses customer data obtained from Clover solely to support merchant-authorized digital storefront and order-related experiences. Smackz does not use customer data for unrelated purposes or without merchant consent.
Merchants remain responsible for customer communications and compliance with applicable privacy regulations, including customer notices and consent where required.
Smackz complies with Clover's API Terms of Service and applicable data protection laws. Merchants may revoke Smackz's access to their Clover data at any time through Clover's app management settings.
